The US is the only country that does routine infant circumcision (other than Israel) The US did have an over all fall nationally for circumcision http://mgmbill.org/statistics.htm by 33% in 2009. On the west coast there is a 0-25% Circumcision rate. Nevada having the lowest rate of only 11% for 2010 (funny, I was betting California to be the lowest. They ranked at 22% for 2010. Where over to the Midwest and the east coast the average is about 80% (I am not a math professor) with West Virginia has the National high of 86% for 2010. What is the big difference between Nevada and West Virginia?
This is a very big decision, If you have any questions on either side of this debate I would be more than happy to guide you and your family down this path, safely. http://www.newbirthing.com/

One of the big factors in the percentages is that welfare/medicaid funds circumcision in those states with higher rates. So uninformed parents are just "going with the flow" since they don't know any better. So sad! Proud to say my son is intact!
