It was a great viewing of More Business of Being Born. Great company made it even better, old friends, new ones, past clients, and new clients. It was a blast...
I really enjoyed The "Down on the Farm" part it was highly informative and like Ricki I was enamored to hear Ina May speak. I too would have been at her feet soaking up every word she has to say. I have to say I am going to be planning a trip to the farm as soon as I can.
I do hope you will make it possible to see this four disk set of DVDs. MBOBB will be released in it's full version in November of 2011. I will be getting copy myself. Not sure if it will be accessible on Netfixs like the predecessor is. We will have to wait and see. But it is worth the purchase. Enjoy. And I hope to see you at the next viewing.

Repeated clients

I am truly blessed to be asked to attend the second home birth of a client whom is now a dear friend. But that kinda how it goes. Spending such an intimate time with a woman really does create a bond beyond all others. Although it seems that this little one maybe extra comfy in his or her home. I really can't wait to see this baby, in my dream it's a girl.... Time to wait and see.

New baby....

At 2230 lastnight a beautiful baby girl was born at home into her fathers hands. Such a beautiful birth.

I walked into the house that night to be greeted by a smiling, completely dilated, very much at peace, laboring woman. As long as I have been helping women become mothers, this still astounds me.

I'm not sure why. Maybe due to years of watching women birth in a hospital, not in peace. As much as they should be aloud to do so I just don't see it often granted to the women who choose to birth in a hospital.
